Administration Assistant

  • Receptionist: Answer the telephone, refer callers to the appropriate department if not able to answer callers’ questions. Keep a running list of complaints to report to the City Council.
  • Utility Billing: Assist in billing and collection of the City’s enterprise operations using Banyon Software.
  • Financial Statements: Assisting in balancing the ledger by paper statements from the banks.
  • Records: Assist in maintaining records of financial, utility billing, payroll & etc.
  • Agendas: Assist in preparing and distributing (e-mail, print) agendas for City Council and Zoning Board meetings.
  • Ordinances: Assist in updating ordinances on the city website and the city ordinance book.
  • Website: Keep up to date.
  • Additional Duties: Any other duties as the City Auditor, Mayor, City Council, or PWS may direct. Including attending meetings in the absence of the City Auditor. (Some specific duties in the desk drawer marked “office duties”.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities: Must have good public relations skills, organizational, and detail skills. An individual must also be willing to learn new software programs. Assists the Auditor with duties as listed in the North Dakota Century Code 40-16 and ordinances of the City of Harwood.
